Toledo came out swinging, shutting out the Jaguars in the first quarter while punching in two early scores to take a commanding 14-0 lead. But Tri-Cities Prep refused to fold. The Jaguars surged in the second quarter, slicing the deficit to just six and heading into halftime trailing 20-14.
The game flipped after the break. Toledo stumbled through a rocky third quarter, and the Jaguars pounced. Tri-Cities Prep exploded for a massive 33-14 run in the second half, seizing momentum and storming their way to the 2B State Championship.
This title bout was packed with standout performances. For Toledo, QB Eli Weeks threw for nearly 200 yards on 12-of-19 passing with a touchdown. RB Carter Swofford powered the ground game with 178 yards on 26 carries and two scores, while WR Adam Kruger hauled in five receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown.
